Hair loss treatment for men with Provillus

In early 2016, I discovered Provillus Hair Loss Treatment for men and was eager to have my husband give it a try. Reviews of the product further instilled my confidence in it, particularly as I found very few negative reviews from users who had tried it.

However, my initial concern was the primary ingredient in the product – Minoxidil. I had questions about its safety, side effects, and whether both men and women could use it.

Shockingly, Minoxidil was initially a drug used to treat high blood pressure and had side effects such as the growth of darker and thicker facial hair in some patients. However, studies showed that when topically applied, Minoxidil could stimulate hair growth in some users. Hence its inclusion in some anti-hair loss products like Provillus.

Thankfully, the topical application of Minoxidil for hair loss is considered safe by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The typical lifespan of human hair strands is approximately 1,000 days before they fall out. Individuals experiencing hair loss have a shorter lifespan for their hair, with follicles becoming smaller and hair becoming finer and more fragile.

Unfortunately, as we age, our hair follicles become more susceptible to the hormone DHT, which causes hair to fall out.

However, products that contain Minoxidil are believed to assist with hair loss by stimulating blood flow to the area in which it is applied. This can increase the lifespan of hair strands while simultaneously promoting new hair growth.

You may have come across different concentrations of Minoxidil such as “Minoxidil 2” or “Minoxidil 5.” The concentration level refers to the strength of the solution, with 2% Minoxidil products being tailored for women and 5% Minoxidil products intended for men.

Does Provillus Really Work?

Provillus is most effective when applied twice a day, concentrating more on the areas with hair loss rather than the entire scalp. Before use, it is recommended to ensure the scalp is clean and dry. It should not be applied immediately after washing the hair.

While some men have seen positive results after just a few months of using Provillus, others have not seen the same success. This discrepancy in results could be due to several factors such as:

Hair loss stage – Those who see positive results with Provillus tend to start using the product at earlier stages of hair loss. Younger men may experience more encouraging results since they are likely to notice hair loss abnormalities sooner.

Bald patches – Men who already have bald patches may not be able to regrow hair using Provillus as Minoxidil will not be as effective.

Consistent applications – Men who apply Provillus religiously two times a day tend to see better results.

In addition, some men who saw positive results with Provillus may have also combined its use with supplements like finasteride or Propecia. Propecia is effective in preventing hair loss by stopping testosterone from converting into DHT.

Our REAL Experience

After purchasing a three-month supply of Provillus for her husband, he began using it in conjunction with Lipogaine shampoo. Initially, there wasn’t much difference seen with the use of the first bottle of Provillus, but gradually, her husband noticed less hair fall after using the second bottle, which was an indication that Provillus was helping with the hair loss.

Towards the end of the third month, they noticed some new hair growth, but it wasn’t as thick as expected. After returning from vacation, they found that hair loss had resumed – possibly due to the fact that hubby had stopped using Provillus for a while.

Although there were no side effects from using the 5% concentration Minoxidil solution for the longer term, they decided to stop using Provillus. It required constant application twice a day, which was becoming tedious, especially during the morning rush.

In conclusion, Provillus does work to help with hair loss, but it requires a commitment to consistent application twice a day to see results. Some people may find it inconvenient or unsustainable in the long run.
